Present: Jon, Pam, Todd, Andrea, Ian
Slacking: Andrew, Hannah
happening June 12th at the RAC
we need teams
Beth is TD and is working with Santana
we discussed the team scholarship-would like to raise money from Ovite for this
should SSUP become a non-profit?
Pros: easier to get free beer from Fishbowl; we can get a bank account
Con: lots of paperwork
one more week of Sunday pickup
Sunday pickup will be put on hold during spring league
Sunday pickup will resume after spring league at 5 or 6 pm
there was some difficulty getting captains, but we have all six of them (Beth, Pam, Hannah, Corey, Clint, Ron)
draft will be April 13th
emphasis of spring league should be teaching, not win at all costs
captains will use their best judgment for team strategy
Santana got “spirit awards” from local businesses that captains will give to one player per week
we proposed a cooperative draft led by 3-4 non-captains which the spring league committee chooses (all were in favor); Pam will email Santana regarding this
no spring league during Wenatchee weekend
we will play on Monday of Memorial Day weekend instead of Sunday
there will be no spring league trophy as proposed by Spencer
Ian encouraged people to email the city of Olympia to try and get better playfields
should we maintain Evergreen fields? We decided to have an Evergreen student ask if we can bring dirt and fill in holes. Jon will ask Liam to coordinate this.
Tumwater high school has an ultimate club and a facebook group
Todd talked to one of the kids about possibly setting up a clinic with them. Chris Gibbs wants to help with this?
Sunday, June 14th, at Ian's house at 7 p.m.
