Olympia Ultimate Frisbee Spring League

Congratulations to Bringers of the Blue Dawn, 2011 Spring League Champions

Thank you for participating in this year’s spring league; it was the biggest six-team league we ever had with over 100 participants. Everyone demonstrated great spirit! Thanks to the captains for organizing and teaching their players the basics of ultimate. For those who have never done this job, it is not as easy as it seems. Thanks to league founders Troy and Andy for once again organizing the barbeque and disc design contest. Thanks to Jeff Johnson and the City of Olympia Parks and Rec for all their support. Finally, congratulations to this year’s league champions, Andrew D. and the Bringers of the Blue Dawn, and disc design contest winner Todd King (Again!).

Thanks To Our Sponsors

Please support them because they have supported us. This year’s sponsors include Olympia Parks & Recreation (thanks Jeff!), The Olympia Farmers' Market, Fish Tale Brewing, Raven’s Brew Coffee, Five Ultimate, and South Sound Ultimate Players.

    Playoffs and BBQ

Our favorite league event will occur on June 12, and will once again be hosted by the other league co-founder, Troy Bussey. Hopefully, the Drake Sisters Famous Lemonade Stand will make another guest appearance. First game starts at 12:30 p.m. Don't miss the good food, fun, and plays.

    When?

The league will begin Sunday, April 17th, and run for nine weeks. We will play every Sunday afternoon at 5:30 p.m.

    What Should I Bring?

Bring water, and the right color shirt for your team (on the first day, bring a light colored shirt and a dark colored shirt). It is a very good idea for both performance and safety to wear cleated shoes (such as those for soccer or football).

    Where?

LBA Park (Click here for park information).

On the map below, the park entrance is at the "A" marker, on Morse-Merryman Rd. It's across the street and a bit east of McKenny Elementary School.
